Backwoods Reserve Rum

The Whiskey drinkers Rum: a warm, Oak-forward character with a mellow finish. Slight caramelized notes of molasses.  

A blend of molasses and cane alcohol, fermented and distilled separately- aged for at least two years in New Life Hungarian White Oak barrels with no char. Bottled at 92 proof so as not to dilute the character from the barrel. Best sipped neat or on a large cube of ice, but check out some unique cocktail recommendations below!

Sweater Weather

1 oz Backwoods Reserve Rum

1 oz Dunc’s Dark Maple Rum

.75 oz fresh lemon juice

.75 oz rosemary syrup

Combine all ingredients together into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled. For the full effect of the drink, lightly torch a rosemary sprig and keep your glass upside down over it while you build your cocktail.

Rosemary syrup: In a saucepan, combine equal parts cane sugar and water until dissolved. Add 5-6 rosemary sprigs and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 20 minutes. Keep any excess syrup refrigerated until you make your next drink!

Maple Rumhattan

1.25 oz Backwoods Reserve Rum

.5 oz Dunc’s Dark Maple Rum

.25 sweet vermouth

Combine all ingredients together into a mixing glass and stir with ice until well chilled and diluted. Strain into a separate rocks glass over a large ice cube and garnish with a brandied or Luxardo cherry.

2 oz Backwoods Reserve Rum

2 oz lemonade

1 oz pomegranate juice

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice, shake until chilled and strain into a rocks glass with ice.
